My name is Bongo

Growing up in the city of New York with a Dutch/Costa Rican background and upbringing, Alec has always been interested in juxtaposition - examining and capturing how one subject flexes against the tension of another subject. Light playing with different shades and colors of itself, interspersed and mixed with various hues of shade; pure and unadulterated beauty amidst decrepit, forgotten chaos; these concepts make photography exciting. 

He also has a deep love and admiration for music and performance. Alec strives to capture humanity's wild energy and raw, powerful emotion. A musician himself, he tries to photograph the feeling of true expression.
